How Sweet It Is

This weekend Klenda Austerman attorney Jeff Peier is pairing two of his favorite things – chocolate and aviation – at Exploration Place’s largest fundraiser, Death by Chocolate. While participants put themselves in a food coma with the finest chocolates, wines and foods Wichita offers, they are supporting the Sedgwick County science and discovery center.

This December, Design Build Fly, a new exhibit at Exploration Place will open. Peier is chairman of the resource committee spearheading the overhaul of the flight pavilion and serves on the museum’s board of directors. When opened, the 5,100-sq.-ft. exhibit will feature engaging, immersive experiences that emulate aviation careers in design, engineering, manufacturing and flight with hopes of inspiring young people toward careers in the STEM field.

“Klenda Austerman law firm believes nurturing an interest in aviation is crucial to Wichita’s long-term success. Our lawyers support the education of our next generation of engineers, professional aviation workers and pilots,” says Peier.

If you would like to aid Exploration Place’s efforts, give Peier a call or join the attorneys from Klenda Austerman this Saturday at Death by Chocolate. Doors open at 7 p.m. and attendees can sample their fill of items from dozens of local restaurants and sweet shops. Tickets are $85 a person and available online at Exploration Place, by phone at 316-660-0620 or at the door the night of the event.
