Foreman, Samuel R.

Sam graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2011 (cum laude). He received his B.B.A. (summa cum laude) in Accounting from Washburn University in 2008. Sam joined Klenda Austerman LLC as an associate with the business section in 2011 after graduating.

Sam served as a Research Editor for the Washburn Law Journal in 2010-2011 and had his Note published Bored Boards: The Directorial Disengagement Dilemma, 50 WASHBURN L.J. 147 (2010). Sam holds a Kansas CPA Certificate, but he is not licensed to practice accounting. Sam received the J.L. Weigand, Jr. scholarship each year of law school. He also earned a Business and Transactional Certificate (with distinction) from Washburn Law School. Sam earned a Gold Certificate in Leadership Studies from the Washburn University Institute for the Study and Practice of Leadership.

Sam’s business background includes various positions in accounting including interim Chief Financial Officer of a small countertop company. Sam’s business experience includes involvement on the business side of acquisitions and venture capital.

As the middle of seven children, Sam is passionate about family and community involvement. Sam currently teaches a college writing preparatory class to several high school students. As an amateur artist, Sam has supported the YWCA with his artwork. Among his other interests, Sam is an avid fan of K-State athletics.
