McElgunn and Helm presented with 2014 WBA President’s Award
Klenda Austerman partners Christopher McElgunn and Chasity Helm are 2014 recipients of the Wichita Bar Association (“WBA”) President’s Award, presented at the WBA’s Installation and Awards dinner held June 19, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency.
The President’s Award is given for outstanding and exceptional service to the WBA that goes above and beyond normal expectations of bar membership. Recipients also demonstrate high ethical standards and are well-respected by their peers.
Both McElgunn and Helm are members of the WBA’s Service to the Bar Committee, assisting the clients of lawyers temporarily or permanently unable to practice. The Committee safeguards the wellbeing of clients when a lawyer is incapable due to incapacity, death or another crisis event. Since McElgunn and Helm provide an invaluable service to the bar “behind the scenes,” it is altogether fitting they be honored as recipients of the 2014 WBA President’s Award.
